Flights for Britons Hit by Irene

Extra flights have been offered by UK airlines to bring home British Nationals hose flights were cancelled because of Hurricane Irene. Even then a lot of Brits are waiting to get away from the affected areas as their flights are being cancelled.
British Airways have put up London bound flights from Newark; it will also fly extra service. BA normally operates seven return flights a day on its London-New York route and three returns a day between London and Newark, while Virgin operates five return flights a day to New York and Newark. According to a BA spokesperson, a lot of people are rebooking and are being allowed to do so.
The spokesperson also said that the customers can demand a full refund if they wish to after the flights get cancelled.

Finding Cheap Tickets- Opera

Finding cheap tickets for something as elite and expensive as opera seems to be a very difficult and a daunting task. The famous Royal Opera House, in London's Covent Garden has a famously complicated pricing system with 13 price bands across five different types of opera. But there are few things to be kept in mind while looking for cheap tickets.
Keep in mind that the more elite the caste, the more expensive the seats will be. Matinees are cheaper and finding cheap tickets for 20th-century and contemporary opera are not very difficult. Bench seats in the lower or upper slips are cheap and are easily available. You can watch a great opera rehearsal for a lesser price also.
The Linbury, ROH's studio theatre, is where the stalwarts of opera cannot be found but the beginners can be and finding cheap tickets here is possible. The Coliseum, home to the English National Opera and London's largest theatre space is a place where you can get cheap tickets if you are between 16 to 30 or a full time student. Most opera houses offer standbys and cheap tickets to students, senior citizens etc.
