Flights for Britons Hit by Irene

Extra flights have been offered by UK airlines to bring home British Nationals hose flights were cancelled because of Hurricane Irene. Even then a lot of Brits are waiting to get away from the affected areas as their flights are being cancelled.
British Airways have put up London bound flights from Newark; it will also fly extra service. BA normally operates seven return flights a day on its London-New York route and three returns a day between London and Newark, while Virgin operates five return flights a day to New York and Newark. According to a BA spokesperson, a lot of people are rebooking and are being allowed to do so.
The spokesperson also said that the customers can demand a full refund if they wish to after the flights get cancelled.
